Biometric verification is any means by which a person can be uniquely identified by evaluating one or more
distinguishing biological traits. Unique identifiers include fingerprints, 2D & 3D face geometry, hand
geometry, earlobe geometry, retina and iris patterns, voice waves, DNA, and signatures.
- Biometric technology identifies a person using various physiological characteristics which cannot be copied
or transferred.
- The fingertip ridges are scanned and translated through an algorithm to a number.
- When an employee initially presents their fingerprint, a mathematical template is stored for future
verification.
How it works
A fingerprint looks at the patterns found on a fingertip. There are a variety of approaches to
fingerprint verification.
- Straight pattern-matching devices
- Moiré fringe patterns
- Ultrasonics
- Live finger is presented
Biometric information can be used for verification (1-1) or identification (1-N)
Verification Method
1:1 comparison. The verification procedure confirms whether the person is actually the person they claim to be.
The person's current biometric data are compared only with their own reference data. This authentication mode
requires another unique identifier such as a User ID, PIN, or smart card. Verification is inherently faster and
more secure than the identification method.
1:N comparison. The verification procedure confirms whether the person in question is actually the person it
claim to be. The person's current biometric data are compared with all registered templates.
Face Detection
eSSL's facial recognition terminal is an embedded face recognition system with leading "Dual Sensor" Face
Recognition Algorithm, which is applicable for Time & Attendance and Access Control applications.
Its classic slope design is especially useful for environments such as businesses, schools, airports, banks,
building automation and the like.
- Fast Face Recognition (less than 1 second)
- Accurate Face Recognition (99.999% accuracy)
- Standalone Unit
- Trackable
- Contactless
- User-friendly
- Reliable performance
- Multi factor authentication
The ZK Face 7.0 is a time and attendance and access control terminal that uses complex face recognition
technology to instantly identify visitors, users etc. The ZK Face 7.0 provides a touch-free alternative to
fingerprint readers while still eliminating "buddy punching" and the need for cards or badges. Users simply look at
the device and within seconds they are identified and either clocked in for work or granted secure access.
